Training checklist
Minibar room check: the exact routine
Date: Attendant: Floor / area:
Before the door (~15 sec)
- Room status checked: occupied / checkout today / vacant (checkouts first)
- Do Not Disturb respected: skip, log time, return later
- Guest flags checked: allergies or excluded products
- Knock three times, announce, wait, enter slowly
At the fridge (~45 sec)
- Compare contents against the par stock list: missing = consumed
- Expiry dates checked: expired items out, near dates flagged
- Seals and brands checked: swaps and refills spotted
- Fridge cold, closes properly, tray clean
Restock (~30 sec)
- Consumed items replaced from trolley
- Newest dates to the back, oldest in front (first in, first out)
- Products faced, same layout as every room; quick wipe if needed
Record (~20 sec, always)
- Consumptions and restocks logged now, at the fridge
- Anomalies flagged: suspected swap, damage, dispute risk (photo if required)
- Expired items logged as waste, not consumption
- Room marked done on the round list
Trainer tip: time the first ten checks door to door. Target on paper: 3 to 5 minutes with a small restock, under 1 minute with no consumption; about 2 minutes or less comes with digital recording. If times stay high, the par stock is too big or recording happens after the fact.
MinibarFlow makes all of this automatic. The app guides the check step by step, records at the fridge, tracks expiry dates and sends the charges to the bill. One routine, a few taps: minibarflow.com
